I first met Jayalath Fernando in 1997 whilst my company was performing construction work for the Benson Property Group. At this point Jay was performing the development inspection, verifying that the stage of completion claim was true and correct. Jay performed his duty in a diligent and courteous manner. This association continued for several years and the professional attitude continued through the entire duration. On or about 2000 I heard, through the trade, that Jay had commenced his own Quantity Surveying Services and decided to seek him out and engage his services in costing my company’s, four townhouse, development.
